How to Read an F1 2026 Livery
A new livery is a colour story plus a sponsor map. The useful question is not whether it looks loud. It is which surfaces carry the team colour, and which exist only for a logo.
Three surfaces that matter
Start with the engine cover, the sidepod, and the front wing endplate. Those are the panels a television camera actually holds. A colour that only appears on the halo or the rear wing is a detail, not the identity of the car.
When a 2026 car is launched, compare it with last year's race-day car, not the studio render. Renders drop sponsor blocks and lighten carbon. The race livery is the one with the oil marks and the smaller logos.
